This is a declaration of love to noodles. Love declarations usually start with "When I first met you..." but I honestly don't remember when I met noodles for the first time. What I remember is that it was love at first sight and already at a young age I started replacing every meal with noodles. While my family had bread for dinner just like every normal German, I had my noodles with tomato sauce. It got worse (or better) when I moved out and started cooking my own lunch. This doubled my daily intake of noodles (I wouldn't have noodles for breakfast, that's for weirdos!). I suspect that the resulting lack in variety is also the reason why I stopped growing at the age of like 13 but maybe it's just the genes. I am trying to counterbalance this lack of variety by eating different types of noodles though. Sometimes I have Italian Pasta, sometimes Udon, one day I go for Ramen and the other day for glass noodle dishes. Oh and not to forget 2-minute-noodles! I don't discriminate when it comes to noodles, from thick to thin, long to short, wheat-based to rice-based: I love them all.
I think you can imagine now how happy I was when I found this shirt! It does not only feature my favourite food but also my favourite piece of art, The Great Wave off Kanagawa. I got it from Redbubble, a marketplace for print on demand products based on user submitted artwork. This design is called The Great Ramen off Kanagawa and to whoever created this: Thank you. Thank you for making this happen.

Longsleeve: Urban Outfitters // Jeans: Levis All clear for those who already fell for my little April Fools pregnancy joke: I am not getting married either. But I like tying knots anyway. I tie a knot into literally every shirt and top that's got enough fabric. I like how it upgrades and loosens up my everyday outfits. It'd also be a great way to show off my abs - if I had any. The great thing about this longsleeve is that it already had a pre-tied knot, how great is that?! And it is super comfty as well. I originally wanted to buy this in white, but white wasn't on sale and this dark orange matches my hair better anyway. It's definitely one of my new favourite shirts and perfect for spring weather! Paired with my high-waist Levis jeans it makes THE go-to outfit for Uni, visiting friends or strolling through the city. Try out the knot-look, you will (k)not be disappointed. Ok someone please stop me from making bad puns RIGHT NOW. Sweater: Indie Brand // Shorts: Mango // Bag: Zara Bra: Nike // Pants: Monki // crop jacket: Nasty Palm Shirt: Monki x Camilla Engström // Shorts: Mango After a long, loong, reeally long summer break, I am finally back! My original plan of one week Marrakech and visiting a few friends in Germany while simultaneously working on my blog turned into a 3 months adventure of constant travelling and just left no time for well-planned outfit shoots and blog entries. I was tempted to open a new, travel-related category but the last thing the internet needs are even more "Top 10 instaworthy spots in Marrakech", "GoT filming locations in Dubrovnik", "The best ruin bars in Budapest" or - a classic - "How travelling changed my life" articles, right? Don't get me wrong, travelling is awesome and exploring new places is my favourite thing to do but there are so many great travelbloggers already out there and I'd feel redundant. Also, to be honest, being the lazy and foodloving person I am, my travelblog would resemble a restaurant guide and feature a long list of what shows are best suited for a good drinking game night. So here I am, back with a brandnew outfit (haha jokes those pictures are from May, taken shortly before I left Maastricht and didn't find the time to upload them) and I can already promise that, being back in my personal fashion paradise Korea, there are a loot more outfit posts to come! Also keep an eye on the Korea section, I just arrived last week but thanks to this country's ever-changing nature, I already have tons of ideas for new articles! Dress: Mango // Duster: Monki If you are as naive as me, you may have wondered at some point how every snapshot of fashionbloggers strolling around random streets turns out just so perfect. Let me tell you: It doesn't. It is not a secret anymore that there's a lot more to it than just taking 1-2 pics while in the city. Yet I wanted to share with you some of my experiences as a rookie fashionblogger. Who takes the pictures? Honestly, I am a bit jealous of all these bloggers with their photographer boyfriends. It must be so covenient to always have your personal photographer around to take stunning pictures of you in every situation. But there are other ways! I sometimes have little photo sessions with friends but I kinda don't wanna bother them with taking pictures for my outfit posts every week. Therefore, I teamed up with fellow Maastricht based blogger Simone (check out her blog here) and both of us profit from taking pictures of each other. It works out really well because we both know (at least more or less) how the pictures are supposed to look like and it is great for me to gain a little insight into the routine of an established blogger. Where? Well one thing I can tell you, it is definitely not strolling around random streets. We try out different locations, look for backgrounds that match with the outfit, search for spots where the light is good, wait for people to pass by so that they don't appear in the picture... 'Snapshot' Yeah ummm no. We repeat the same pose over and over again until we are satisfied with the results. I usually got around 200 pics on my camera after a shooting session. Posing I am always surprised how natural my incredibly unnatural poses look in the end. Be it going through my hair for the 100th time, the endless loop of taking off and putting back on my shades or cricking my neck in an attempt to do the infamous glance over the shoulder - I feel super ridiculous while doing it but it usually looks good in the pictures. We recently decided to become a bit more 'creative' with our poses and included some bikes for example...it's supposed to look like I am about to ride my bike (which isn't even mine)... Damn you're one goodlooking bike! Mind if I ride you? Quickly checking if nobody's watch- wait! What that? Nevermind lol already found a new one. Hey sexy what's up?
Shirt: The Naked and Famous // Backpack: Monki So band shirts. They kinda never go out of fashion and this year they seem to be a really big thing. And I like them. What I don't like is seeing people running around in exactly the same Nirvana, Pink Floyd and Metallica shirts. Sure they are iconic and easy to buy as H&M usually sells them all year round. But trust me, true fans will easily blow your cover even if you have memorized one of their songs to avoid being busted. Why not instead buy a shirt of a band you really like? That way you're not just a bit more unique but also support your favourite artist. I for example love 'The Naked and Famous', it's one of the few groups of whom I like every single song. And look at this cool Shirt design, isn't it way better than a smiley face with crossed-out eyes? The high postage and the fact that the shirt was not available in my size anymore couldn't stop me. I balanced the inhuman delivery costs out by buying two shirts instead of one (a shopping addict's logic) and just ordered the shirt in XL to be able to wear it as a dress. Genius, right?
P.S.: Please let me know your favourite artists, always looking for new music :) Jeans: Bershka // Top: Monki // Shoes: Topshop ...high-waist jeans that fits without a belt! Friends you have no idea how happy I was when I tried this pair on and it wasn't loose enough around the waist to fit in another person! ...time in ages that I am wearing something red. One of the main reasons for not wearing red was that my hair was dyed red-brown until around a year ago and it just didn't look any good together. Ahhhh I really wanted to be the lady in red at my prom :( ...outfit post featuring Monki! Quite surprising because I am the ultimative Monki fan and I'd say 50% of my clothes are from there. I just love how their stuff is kinda egdy but still wearable, their sustainability-orientedness (does that word even exist?!), their anti-bodyshaming campaigns... Coat: Thrifted // Shirt: Mango // Skirt: Bershka // Tote Bag: JIA B And just when I got used to the sunshine and warm weather, it starts raining and temperatures drop below 0°C again, thanks for nothing, April! But hey look on the bright side: This weather gives me the perfect excuse to stay in and create a new blogpost presenting one of my favourite outfits ever! I am so glad this season is all about sleeves and the bell sleeves of my Mango shirt are just perfect! I mean look at them, they give this outfit a kind of Elvish vibe every Lord of the Rings fan dreams of! Another advantage: They might prevent you from having to do the dishes. At least for me, "But mom, I can't do the dishes with those sleeves!" worked pretty well last weekend. The coat is from a secondhand market in Korea and was a real bargain. I wear it in all seasons because it's oversized enough to wear thick sweaters or even winter jackets underneath. What I specifically like about this coat are its huge pockets! I once tried to fit a bottle of wine in them (just out of curiousity of course) and hey, the bottle fit! The skirt is from the Bershka sale and totally fulfills my current obsession with midi skirts and sheer fabrics. Okey but now let me introduce my constant companion, the item that upgrades every outfit, my beloved, rain defying JIA B Tote Bag! This bag is everything and I can't thank my two best friends Lena and Eve enough for surprising me with it on my birthday. We discovered JIA B together last year on the famous flea market at Mauerpark in Berlin and I immediately fell in love with the unique designs. My bag features the Sakamoto Brothers, two J-Pop artists on a metallic background. Well I can say without hesitation that JIA B is my No. 1 designer discovery of 2016 and I am looking forward to fill my closet with some more of her items. What designer are you head over heels for?
